Culliesbrough and Garth - 1871

LAURENCE MANSON Remained as tenant at Culliesbrough. WILLIAM MANSON Removed to Cuppa in 1883.

WILLIAM MANSON Removed to Beosetter in 1879.

THOMAS MANSON Died 1872. His wife died in 1874 at Garth. Their son HENRY MANSON and family moved to Brough about 1877.

BARBARA LAURENSON(wife of William), Sailor, moved to Kirkabister before 1880.

CECILLIA NELSON Wife of Bruce, Whaler, moved to Brough in 1873.

All the croft land with the exception of Laurence Manson’s was made part of Maryfield Farm in 1875. It appears that the crafting tenants were allowed to remain in their houses for some years after.
